As of 29. February 2024 the UAE National Advance Information Center (NAIC) requires 6 digit HS code on MAWB and HAWB level for UAE import, transit and export.

To-do for customer:
Please ensure that HS code will be provided for each MAWB and HAWB for UAE import, transit and export shipments to the carrier prior to cargo acceptance:
- For Consolidated Shipments, in which the shipment is associated to 1-n House Waybills, HS code needs to be provided on the House Waybill level (HTS section in the FHL /XFZB, i.e. HTS/293890)
- For Direct Shipments, in which the shipment is associated to Master Waybill only, HS code needs to be provided on the Master Waybill level (RTD section in FWB/ xFWB, NH identifier, i.e. NH/060314)
Lufthansa Cargo encourages all customers to start submitting data immediately, including the required data elements, in order to be compliant as of 29. February 2024.
In case of disregard:
- Increased waiting times during import/delivery
- Increased waiting times in the export acceptance process
- Potential delay
