Why an dialog app?
The new WeCargo dialog app facilitates modern, social and digital communication between all users worldwide in real time. It is optimised for use on mobile devices. Not only can you read posts, photos and videos in seconds, but you can also share your own posts easily with colleagues. Hence, WeCargo is a digital tool that makes your everyday work easier and more efficient. Every user can now contribute to our internal communication.

- ...closes the communication gap with personnel who have no fixed computer workstation and flying personnel – Thanks to the app, staff members of the handling team, on board or at external stations can be reached at any time and without delay (flexible internal communication at any time and any place)

Where can I get the app?
You can download the app on your business mobile phone from the Lufthansa Group (EMM) app store.
For private devices, please use the download link in the WeCargo invitation mail or find the download here.
How can I register?
For successful registration on the WeCargo dialogue app, you must authenticate and authorise yourself (after downloading the WeCargo app from the Lufthansa (EMM) app store with your email address and the initial password assigned).

The new WeCargo dialog app facilitates modern, social and digital communication between all users worldwide in real time. The Lufthansa Cargo dialog app is a digital tool that makes your everyday work easier and more efficient. Every user can actively engage in internal communication.

What will the app cost?
The app can be downloaded free of charge. However, please note that you must bear the costs of purchasing private mobile devices as well as the costs of telecommunications and Internet services for the use of the browser version.
Does the app work on all mobile phones? What technical requirements must the device meet?
The app works on all common smartphones and tablets.
Will I get a business mobile phone now so I can use the app?
No. You do not need a business mobile phone to use the WeCargo app. The app can be installed on all common mobile devices, including your private phone.
Do I have to install the app? Is it mandatory to use the app?
Use of the app is voluntary. However, using the app offers you many advantages: Thanks to the app, you can interact and network with your colleagues worldwide. In addition, you can track Lufthansa Cargo updates flexibly anywhere and at any time, so you can keep up-to-date and engaged in topics that are important to you.
Who has access to the app?
The app can be used by all Lufthansa Cargo staff who have a valid U number or the corresponding @dlh.de e-mail address and assignment to Lufthansa Cargo AG. Registration or authentication in the app is only possible with this data. Staff members of other group companies cannot register in the app.
Will my boss be informed of whether I'm using the app?
No, your superior will not be informed of whether you are using the app or not. Use of the app is voluntary. However, if you choose to use the app, your superior may be able to see when you post or like contents in the app, as you are always visible under your real name in the app.
I don't have a cell phone. I don't want to install the app on my private phone – how can I still use the app?

What functions does the app offer?
In the app you will find various news channels for the publication of important company information such as our Cargo Evolution strategy programme, the digital transformation of Lufthansa Cargo or updates from the Executive Board. You can post content to the app (texts, images, videos). In addition, you can comment on or like posts. The app also features an event calendar, a list of stations and links to useful pages such as the Lufthansa Cargo Facebook page or the Newsroom. Moreover, there are closed groups for certain divisions of the company (e.g. F/HF, F/I) where staff of those divisions can share information. The app also features a translation function so that articles posted in foreign languages are automatically translated into the mobile phone language of your choice.
Are there any plans to add new functions in future? Will there be (regular) updates for the app?
We will be constantly developing our dialog app. Your interests are very important to us. Therefore, we look forward to your suggestions for the further development of the app as well as new categories that interest you. You can simply enter your ideas in the app’s feedback form.
Are there any rules for the app that I need to observe? What are the do’s and don’ts?
Your posts keep the WeCargo app alive. We want to encourage you to share interesting stories from your everyday working life with your colleagues – and you are welcome to do so even during working hours. You are only not permitted to use the app during working hours if use of the mobile device is prohibited while on duty. Please also note the information on mobile phone use in the respective house rules as well as the information on taking photographs on site. In particular, security-relevant installations must not be photographed (camera systems, access systems, etc.).
It goes without saying that our corporate values of respect, tolerance, open-mindedness and honesty also apply to our WeCargo app. To help you, we have created a code of conduct (netiquette) for the dialog app, where you will find some tips on how to use it. In addition, the terms of use apply, which you accept when installing the app.
How does the app differ from eBase? Is there really a need for another communication channel – I can hardly keep up with reading already.
Unlike our previous Intranet eBase, you can also post your own content in the app and share information with colleagues worldwide. You can also use the app without a business mobile phone or computer workstation on your private mobile device, so that you can stay up to date any time and any place.
Can I use the app only in my spare time or also during working hours?
Your posts keep the WeCargo app alive. We want to encourage you to share interesting stories from your everyday working life with your colleagues – and you are welcome to do so even during working hours. Like when using our existing communication channels, you need to find a healthy balance. You are only not permitted to use the app during working hours if use of the mobile device is prohibited while on duty.
If I use the app outside the office / outside my shift – does that count as work time?
No. If, for example, you use the WeCargo app on your way to work, this does not count as work time, but takes place during your spare time.
In what language should I communicate in the app? Does it feature different language channels or translation options?
You should preferably post in German or English. The app also offers a translation function so that articles are automatically translated into the mobile phone language of the employee’s choice. You will soon be able to see what languages are available in the app.
Information that is posted on the app’s official Lufthansa Cargo channels is available in German and English (just like in eBase), but can be automatically translated if you have set your mobile phone to another language. As this is an automatic translation function, it will probably not always be completely error-free – please keep this in mind.
Do I have to keep following eBase now? Or is the app sufficient for me, working at Lufthansa Cargo?
The app is a communication platform that is primarily intended to facilitate the interaction between colleagues. In eBase you will still find all relevant information for your everyday work.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset your password via "change password".

Can my boss now see where I am if I have the app on my smart phone?
Your superior cannot locate you via the app.
Can my boss see when and what I am doing on the app? Who can see when and how I am using the app?
Your user data (surname, first name, department code) are used for displaying the user in comments/likes, membership in groups, and for communication between users. The following user data are automatically part of your user profile and cannot be modified: surname, first name and department code. The e-mail address is only displayed to the user himself. The exact time of your activity in the app is not displayed or saved. The voluntary details in your profile – which currently include e.g. your position, location or e-mail address, as well as a photo if you wish – will be visible to all other registered users of the app after you have added them. Are there also closed areas that cannot be viewed externally or by all users of the app?
Basically, only Lufthansa Cargo staff can access all information in the app. There are also closed groups for certain areas / departments / projects within the app, which serve for internal communication.
Who filters posts in the app? Who makes sure that its contents are politically correct / comply with our terms of use?
In principle, every staff member who uses the app commits to complying with our guidelines, which we have defined in our netiquette, terms of use and data protection information. In addition, Lufthansa Cargo and/or the F/CI team reserve the right to delete posts that do not comply with the defined policies and to ban the staff members in question from using the app.
