Increasing global regulation by legislators has significantly increased the need for action by all logistics providers on the subject of air freight security in recent years. The use of state-of-the-art security technology and IT systems, research into new technologies in cooperation with leading industry partners, intensive employee training, and additional security measures integrated into handling processes are among our most important activities.

Our security concept is constantly being expanded and we set international standards in the process.

In all questions relating to air cargo security, we are the recognized industry leader.
Premium security services are offered at all our stations. In addition, the Frankfurt, Munich and New York stations have been turned into a security hub.

Without IT, we would not be able to fulfill our customer promise. The protection of our customers' data, their freight information as well as the conscious, secure handling of information across all our processes is of utmost importance for our company's success. We face up to this responsibility and have been operating an information security management system (ISMS) for years, which complies with the international standard ISO27001 and is audited and certified annually by external bodies.

Of course, we also comply with all legal requirements such as the European General Data Protection Regulation or the specifications from the national aviation security program DVO 2019/1583.

In addition, we have implemented an overarching policy system that is closely linked to our central Lufthansa Group Information Security Policy.

Furthermore, we are an integral part of the Lufthansa Group's information security organization together and jointly operate a Cyber Defense Center to be armed against all kinds of external attacks.

In addition to the ISO27001 certificate, our BitSight rating, which is also high in comparison with our competitors, shows that our efforts in the area of information security are effective worldwide. Our goal is to continue our industry-leading role in the area of information security for our customers.
