Our recipe for success when it comes to your airmail focuses on a large, reliable network of airmail destinations, a dense, effective transport network, and efficient and safe mail handling. It also includes the constant expansion and improvement of our services.
Your airmail’s journey begins at one of more than 200 postal companies worldwide that we have worked with closely for decades. Shipments are automatically sorted and assigned to their destination at one of our three hubs for handling airmail located in Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna. This ensures shipments get where they need to go at more than 130 stations worldwide − efficiently and without detours.
We are therefore able to accommodate your needs in terms of flexibility and capacity, even when load factors are high, so your shipments arrive quickly and safely at almost any destination.
Three hubs for greater flexibility and capacity.
The lynchpin for your airmail is our three airmail centers in Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna, where shipments in transit are handled in a record time of four hours. At the Airmail Center Frankfurt alone, 150 tons of airmail is transshipped every day.
It is possible to manage the flow of transports across the three hubs, which are in communication with each other. By adjusting these flows, capacity bottlenecks can be prevented.
Airmail tracking reinvented.
Scanning your shipment directly at one of our postal stations ensures that it heads in the right direction from the outset and can be further transported automatically. MailAgent is the name of our straightforward and highly efficient solution. Our employees use hand scanners to scan airmail on receptacle level. That information is then transferred into our IT-Application „MailAgent“. With the help of this customized solution, we ensure system-wide data communication across our entire airmail network.
Using our AirmailTracking application, postal administrations are able to track shipments online virtually in real time. Besides providing information online, this special service also allows to download data for further individual processing. We invest in the continuous development of our IT systems to ensure the highest level of quality and safety. To facilitate efficient communication across the systems of different partners and airlines in our extensive airmail network, our systems − MailAgent and MailSystem − save and transfer data in the MLD (mail label data) format prescribed by IATA standards. Data is exchanged with postal companies using the internationally standardized CARDIT/RESDIT messaging process.
