AeroLogic

AeroLogic

AeroLogic was established in September 2007 and commenced airline operations almost two years later in June 2009. Its fleet is composed of 21 Boeing 777 freighters.

The company was established as a joint venture by Lufthansa Cargo AG and DHL Express (represented by Deutsche Post Beteiligungen Holding AG). 

AeroLogic has its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC), own air traffic rights, and is responsible for all airline operations including aircraft, pilots and network.

The headquarters of AeroLogic are located at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Schkeuditz/Germany. The company currently has around 750 employees, some 600 of whom are flight crew.

The shareholders of AeroLogic are at the same time customers that utilize air freighter capacity. All marketing and sales activities are handled exclusively by Lufthansa Cargo and DHL Express.

AeroLogic currently serves a route network comprising 27 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America from its home base at Leipzig/Halle.

The international freight capacities of Austrian Airlines are fully marketed by Lufthansa Cargo and are integrated into our overall capacity offering.

Austrian Airlines is Austria’s leading airline, connecting numerous destinations across Europe, Asia, and North America. Its dense route network from the Vienna (VIE) hub provides excellent access to Eastern and Central Europe and ensures fast and reliable transport handling.

All cargo capacities of Brussels Airlines are marketed by Lufthansa Cargo and are fully integrated into our overall capacity offering.

As Belgium’s leading airline, Brussels Airlines connects numerous destinations across Europe, Africa, and North America. Its hub in Brussels (BRU) provides excellent access to Central and Western Europe and ensures fast and reliable transport handling.

Discover Airlines

All cargo capacities of Discover Airlines are marketed by Lufthansa Cargo and are fully integrated into our overall capacity offering.

Discover Airlines is the quality leisure airline of the Lufthansa Group in Germany and connects cargo customers via Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC) with selected international destinations. Customers benefit from seamless transport processes at the hubs as well as across the entire route network of the Lufthansa Group and its partner airlines.

ITA Airways

ITA Airways

Lufthansa Cargo is gradually marketing the freight capacities of ITA Airways. In the first step, Lufthansa Cargo will market and organize the routes from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires to Rome-Fiumicino. Following regulatory approvals, the cooperation will be gradually expanded to the entire ITA Airways route network. In the future, this will offer customers up to 20 percent additional cargo capacity.

The international freight capacities of SunExpress are fully marketed by Lufthansa Cargo and are integrated into our overall capacity offering. As a result, our customers benefit from an expanded network and additional transport options between Europe and Turkey.

The company is headquartered in Antalya, one of Turkey's most important tourist centers. Another key location is Izmir on the country's Aegean coast.

Swiss WorldCargo

Swiss WorldCargo

Since it was founded on April 1, 2002, the cargo division of Swiss International Air has been flying to some 150 worldwide destinations and connecting more than 80 countries. Headquartered at Zurich Airport, the company focuses on the transport of high-value goods. Swiss WorldCargo markets the belly capacity of SWISS passenger aircraft and its network of road services. The acquisition of the Swiss airline by Deutsche Lufthansa AG in March 2005 paved the way for Swiss WorldCargo to join the Lufthansa Cargo Group. Swiss WorldCargo is also included in the joint venture of Cathay Pacific and Lufthansa Cargo since 2022 and in the joint venture of United Cargo® and Lufthansa Cargo since August 2025.

handling counts GmbH is a wholly owned Lufthansa Cargo subsidiary. It was formed in 2007 following collective wage negotiations and the final arbitration recommendation. Today, handling counts GmbH employs about 300 handling employees at the Lufthansa Cargo Center in Frankfurt (build-up und break-down), at the Frankfurt Animal Lounge and in the Lufthansa Cargo Service Center.

Located in the Pearl River Delta ‒ one of the most productive industrial regions of China situated between the megacities Hong Kong and Guangzhou - the International Cargo Centre Shenzhen (ICCS) offers a full range of cargo handling services for Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. Since its founding in September 2004, the company has been synonymous with high-quality freight handling services. Shenzhen Airport Co. Ltd. operates with Lufthansa Cargo on an equal partnership basis.

Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal (PACTL) is a Sino-German air freight handling company located at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, one of the biggest cargo airports of the world. PACTL handles 25,000 to 30,000 tons of freight each week for a total of 44 airlines. Its facilities and services include 190,000 m² of covered warehouse space and a national road feeder service. The terminal has a maximum handling capacity of around 2.5 million tons annually. Furthermore, due to the good relationships and trust it has built up with customers over the years, Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal now ranks among the leading air freight terminals worldwide.
