Lufthansa Cargo and Dachser take cooperation to the next level
Logistics provider extends contract with Lufthansa Cargo Service Center by three years
The German logistics provider Dachser has extended its contract with Lufthansa Cargo Service Center (LCSC). Until 2017 inclusive, the company will continue to use services such as reception, segmentation, consolidation, allocation for shipment and delivery of air cargo consignments via the air cargo terminal of Europe's leading cargo airline at Frankfurt Airport's CargoCity South.
"We look forward to continuing the good cooperation with the Lufthansa Cargo Service Center over the next three years", says Rüdiger Klug, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics EMEA at Dachser. "We are very happy with the quality of the LCSC on all levels."
"The long-term cooperation with Dachser confirms the high service standard of the LCSC", underlines Markus Geyr, head of the Lufthansa Cargo Service Center. "We want to grow together with our partners in Frankfurt, Europe's leading air cargo hub."
In future, import business will take centre stage. In addition, Lufthansa Cargo and Dachser want to improve processes and reduce throughput times with joint lean projects, for example.
In early 2010 Lufthansa Cargo opened its own logistics centre right next door to Dachser at Frankfurt Airport's CargoCity South. The Lufthansa Cargo Service Center offers consolidation and deconsolidation services for forwarding companies in both import and export with trailblazing services and quality standards. The Lufthansa Cargo Service Center rounds off the classic services of the cargo airline in direct proximity to its customers.
