Dorothea von Boxberg is Chairperson of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer as well as Chief Financal Officer of Lufthansa Cargo. Ashwin Bhat is Member of the Executive Board and Chief Commercial Officer, Dietmar Focke is Member of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Chief Executive Officer.
Dorothea von Boxberg has been the Chairperson of the Executive Board and CEO of Lufthansa Cargo AG since 1 March 2021. Her responsibilities include Business Development and Cooperations, Legal Affairs, Communications and Corporate Responsibility, Information Management and Digital Transformation, as well as Finance and Controlling.
In addition to her role as Chairwoman of the Executive Board, von Boxberg also holds a seat on the Executive Board of the German Logistics Association (BVL).
Dorothea von Boxberg, born in 1974, studied Industrial Engineering at TU Berlin and as part of a double degree program at ESCP Paris.
Von Boxberg began her professional career in 1999 at the strategic management consultancy Boston Consulting Group. She worked in various industries and several countries.
In 2005, she left to join the Star Alliance management company, where she was responsible for strategy.
In 2007, Dorothea von Boxberg took her first position at Lufthansa in the ‘Strategy and Subsidiaries’ division, which she headed from 2009 onwards.
From 2012, she was responsible for the customer experience of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines on board as well as on the ground in several positions.
In 2015, von Boxberg moved to Lufthansa Cargo and headed the Global Sales Management division.
In August 2018, Dorothea von Boxberg was appointed to the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG as Chief Commercial Officer. Her areas of responsibility included Global Sales, Revenue Management and Pricing, Product Development, Network Planning, and Handling outside the Frankfurt and Munich hubs. The digitalization of commercial processes and the expansion of multi-channel sales were among the most important tasks.

As Member of the Lufthansa Cargo Executive Board and Chief Commercial Officer since March 1, 2021, Ashwin Bhat is responsible for Global Sales Management, Capacity Management, the handling outside our hubs Frankfurt and Munich, Product Management & Innovation and Platform Management of Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings
Ashwin Bhat, born in 1969, studied Chemistry at the University of Mumbai, India.
Bhat began his professional career in 1992 as Cargo and Mail Revenue Accounting Manager at Airline Financial Support Services (India).
In 1999, Bhat took his first position at Swisscargo AG in Switzerland as Revenue System Controller.
From 2002, Ashwin Bhat was responsible for Cargo Accounting and Divisional Controlling as General Manager at Swiss WorldCargo, Swiss International Air Lines Ltd.
From 2005 to 2010, he headed Revenue Management, Pricing and Accounting followed by Head of Transportation Management Cargo.
As of 2010 Bhat was responsible as Head of Cargo Asia, Middle East and Africa.
From 2012 to 2013, he assumed this position for The Americas, Middle East and Asia.
In 2013, Ashwin Bhat was appointed Vice President, Head of Global Area Management Cargo.
From 2015 to February 2021 Bhat headed the Cargo division at Swiss International Air Lines.
Operations and Human Resources.
As Member of the Lufthansa Cargo Executive Board and Chief Operation Officer since March 1, 2022, Dietmar Focke is responsible for Operations which comprises Handling Frankfurt, Handling Munich, Global Handling Management, Flight Operations & Transport Management, Security Management and Managing Customer Service.
In addition, he is responsible for Supply Management & Infrastructure and Human Resources and is thus also Chief Human Resources Officer of Lufthansa Cargo.
Dietmar Focke, born in 1973, studied mechanical engineering at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences after completing his apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic at Voss GmbH.
Focke began his career in the Lufthansa Group in 2000 as a Product Engineer at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg.
After holding several positions at Lufthansa Technik, Dietmar Focke joined Ameco in China in January 2010 as Subdivision Manager Equipment & Landing Gear and in September 2011 as Senior Director Aircraft Overhaul.
In September 2014, Focke was appointed CEO Lufthansa Technik Budapest, Base Maintenance, before being appointed Head of Engine Services in February 2019 and Head of Commercial Engine Services in Hamburg in December 2021.
