Cargo Crisis Care

Lufthansa Cargo provides emergency aid to countries hit by crises and natural catastrophes. The airline quickly lays on transport capacities free of charge or for a minor sum to defray its own costs on mercy flights carrying urgently needed supplies to stricken areas.

In early 2010, Lufthansa Cargo organised two emergency flights for the earthquake victims in Haiti. In August and September 2010, it operated several special flights in cooperation with UNICEF for the victims of the disastrous flooding in Pakistan.
