Some of you may already have read his statements in the planet app edition or seen him on Lufthansa Cargo’s YouTube channel, but most of you will certainly remember him from the TV newscast “heute journal”: In this edition of planet Trends, we feature an in-depth interview with Klaus-Peter Siegloch. The former anchorman of the public broadcasting channel ZDF and now President of the Federal Association of the German Aviation Industry (BDL) speaks his mind. He is a fierce advocate for the airfreight industry in the business location Germany, championing equal opportunities in international competition and concerned with meeting the challenges relating to security.

In our station portrait, we direct our focus on an entire region. Milan and its environs are Italy’s largest economic area. Despite the crisis, one can still to do good business here. The demand for technology, fashion and luxury goods “Made in Italy” makes this possible; as well as the purchasing power of a conurbation with a population of seven million. Lufthansa Cargo has a strong presence with several locations in this region.
