- to decrease long transport times of air cargo.
- to optimize interfaces, to match processes and to create consistent quality data among all partners in the air cargo transport chain.
- to implement a common quality monitoring system for the whole industry.
- to increase transparency and comparability of quality monitoring data by publishing benchmark reports.

- As one of the world’s five airlines, Lufthansa Cargo has obtained platinum member status from the Cargo 2000 quality initiative.
- The five airlines stand out among around the 80 airlines, forwarders and airfreight partners that are member of Cargo 2000 in recognition of their high quality, the high degree of integration of Cargo 2000 quality philosophy in their processes and the industrywide development of this system.
- The platinum status denotes the importance attached to comprehensive quality management by Lufthansa Cargo.
